What is distance and online learning? |
A distance learning course is one you take without physically meeting a teacher in a classroom on campus. These courses may be semester-based with specific start and end dates or may have a timeline based on the date of your enrollment.
NECC Training Center provides a dynamic learning environment where students access learning opportunities via the Internet. NECC Online Learning forms the core of a flexible model that uses a blend of instructional methods to best meet your learning needs.
How it works? |
The two most common modes for distance learning courses are:
1. Correspondence Course material will be sent to you by mail or courier.
2. Online (web-based):
Course material is accessed via the Internet. Online courses provide for rich interaction between you and your instructor, between you and other students, or both. Individual contact with instructors follows a pattern similar to that in a classroom. Students may interact with instructors online via Net Meeting or e-mail. Students also could arrange appointment with instructors for inquiries about the course regularly.

Is Distance Learning for Me? |
NECC Distance and Online learning provides a convenient way for student who could not be able to reach our campus by the class schedule. Although distance learning delivery modes are a convenient way to take courses, it is not necessarily suited to all students' learning styles or needs. Distance learning students should be self-disciplined and have excellent reading, and analytical skills.
